What can Chatbox provide?
Our purpose is to provide high impact qualitative feedback material through the use of diary rooms and or face to face interviews.
A User Friendly DVD
It is the DVD we create at the end of any consultation, which we feel makes our service unique.
The user interface on the DVD gives full access to all interviews in full.
The interviews are also ‘chapterised’ at each question and any other issues that may come up in the interview to allow the user to skip parts of an interview and go to a specific point.
We can also include a short montage film. This film is usually made up of excerpts from the diary room reflecting the feelings and views we capture. If the interviews are captured at an event we can also combine this with footage of the event to add some visual references. This is done at no extra charge.
We can provide DVDs with all or any one of these elements.
The short film is the element of the DVD, which is most popular.

How the DVD can be used?
Qualatitive Feedback
DVD itself can be used in several ways. Firstly, in providing feedback for an event itself. Organisers have said to us that they felt it was informative and extremely useful to find out what visitors really thought to an event. They had found it was good to sit down after the event and reflect on the day and to consider how the event could be improved.
Policy and Strategy
Other uses include providing feedback and information on services and in particular highlighting problems within the community. The short film can help deliver this infomation concisely.
This can then be used by decision makers to help shape future policies and strategies.
The questions we ask are discussed fully at the start of the project to ensure that the context of each interview is relevant.
Funding
Another important use organisations have told us about is for obtaining funding. Organisers have told us how the DVD was useful for showing to, and attracting potential funders. The DVD can help deliver information much faster than conventional forms of communication.

Methods of Consultation
The Diary Room
Diary Room is usually billed as the Big Brother Diary Room or in some cases the Big Sister Diary Room.
The idea is to make interviewees really feel that they are entering the Big Brother Diary Room. We set up a relaxed atmosphere the makes them feel that this is something special.
Face to Face interviews
We have on a number of occasions carried out face to face interviews as an alternative to the diary room. Sometimes the diary room is combined with face to face interviews.
Alternative solutions
The sky really is the limit. Finding new and creative ways to consult is the challenge. We have employed other methods such as a “I’m a Celebrity” room, but really anything is possible given the time and resources.
Interviewer
One of our interviewers Susan or Peter are be provided as an optional extra in case you should want to do your own interviewing.
