This video was made in 2008 for Derbyshire Rural Community Council. It shows the process of producing a Concept Statement.

A Concept Statement approaches the issue of new development in a different way. Stakeholders in a development are encouraged to work with the community and planning authorities to unlock areas of land for development. This is particularly useful in rural communities where the phenomenon such as second homes has brought much need for new developments of affordable housing. This particular film showcases the process taking place in Hartington Village, a rural Derbyshire village situated in the Peak District.
