PJ Hamson, accountants in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire approached Aquaman Design in the spring of 2018. PJH have a presence in Google Business and can be found in a search, but their own website, which was a DIY attempt, had never been registered so could not be found on the search engines and lacked any degree of professionalism.
Before the design phase we carried out a photo shoot at PJ Hamson’s offices, to take general shots plus shots of the staff for the “about us” page.
The project the progressed in the usual way, with Aquaman Design creating three or four concept mock ups in photoshop to show how the website will look on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Following the design phase the website was built using WordPress. The site uses a base responsive template which will be mobile friendly, to which the agreed design is then applied.
Having carried out the earlier photo shoot we were largely able to avoid using stock images – this quite a tricky thing to achieve with some subject matter, accountants being one.
Specific requests for this project were to add a client login page and to add specific partner logos including Sage and Quick Books.
The project was completed in late October, taking approximately six months to complete. This is not an unusual timescale. Projects on average are completed somewhere between three and six months.
In due course we will be providing training to show the client how to make their own edits. We will also be advising on how to improve site rankings in search engines.
